Considering the importance of road transport, the positional importance of Lakshmipur district is much higher. Maju Chowdhury's Hat in Lakshmipur Sadar and Meghna Ghat in Ramgati Upazila are famous for hilsa production. Besides, Raipur Upazila has the largest fish breeding center in Asia.
